ADMANCO Recruitment Information

Workforce & Recruitment Overview

Qatar is one of our newer Gulf markets. Work permits and recruitment approvals for foreign workers are administered by the Ministry of Labour, with visas and residency processed through the Ministry of Interior. In several source countries, including India, pre-departure steps such as medical checks and biometrics are completed at Qatar Visa Centres. We recruit across our five confirmed sectors for Qatar-based employers and plan these steps into the timeline from the start.

Current Market / Regulatory Information

GENERAL GUIDANCE β€” confirm current requirements with the Ministry of Labour before finalising a plan

Foreign workers in Qatar are employed under an employer-sponsored work visa: the employer obtains recruitment approval through the Ministry of Labour, and the visa and residency are processed through the Ministry of Interior. In several source countries, including India, candidates complete medical checks, biometrics and contract signing at an official Qatar Visa Centre before travel. Qatar's labour reforms since 2020 also changed how workers can change employers, so employers should plan retention as well as recruitment. Specific requirements, fees and processing times can change β€” confirm current, case-specific requirements with the Ministry of Labour or your ADMANCO contact before finalising a recruitment plan.

General Employer Guidance

Employer Considerations

Secure Ministry of Labour recruitment approval for the roles and nationalities you need before sourcing begins
Allow time in the plan for Qatar Visa Centre appointments in the candidate's home country
Because Qatar is a newer market for us, confirm sector and timeline early so lead time is planned accurately
Document and attestation requirements should be confirmed as part of your requirement
